Joining the Community Nest Program is free and open to all new students. Beginning August 31, 2026, members will be placed into a Nest and added to their Nest's group chat.

How to Join:
Click "Join Group" to get started. Your request will be marked as "Pending Validation," and you'll be prompted to complete a one-question survey.
Once you've been placed in a Nest, you'll receive a notification and gain access to your Nest's group page and group chat.

Starting university is a big step — but you don’t have to do it alone. The Community Nest Program connects first-year students with a supportive Nest Leader and a group of peers to help you settle in, make friends, and feel part of the MacEwan community.

Through social events, workshops, online chats, and more, you'll make connections that last well beyond your first year.
